Halloween
Costumes: Students may wear costumes to school on Friday, October 31st with the following restrictions: Costumes must be comfortable and safe, allowing students to move about and play freely without interfering with vision. Costumes should not be offensive or frightening in any way. If makeup is used, it should be used sparingly and should not be able to “rub off” on books or papers. Costumes should NOT include replicas of weapons of any kind. We encourage interesting costumes displaying cleverness and ingenuity—nothing questionable, objectionable, or frightening will be permitted.
Costume Parade: The Alamo School Costume Parade will begin at 8:45 a.m. on October 31st. We try to preserve the “old time” fun of the season with a walk on the Upper Grade walking path. Any spot in the center of the grass will be a good viewing area.
Classrooms Parties: Please continue to provide healthy snacks for all school parties in accordance with the district’s wellness policy. Fruit trays, veggies trays, and juices are very appropriate choices.
